The National Park Service has recovered a body near the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park, officials announced Monday.
The body was found Friday at noon on Rim Trail, between Pipe Creek and Mather Point, park officials said.
Officials believe the body is that of 39-year-old Michael Legus, of Tooele, according to a news release from Grand Canyon.
A friend reported Legus missing Oct. 31. Legus was last seen near Maher Point that day.
The National Park Service is investigating to determine the cause of death.
