Boise, Idaho • Justinian Jessup scored a career-high 22 points and hit six of Boise State's 12 3-pointers, and the Broncos beat Southern Utah 90-69 on Sunday.
Jessup's jumper sparked a game-changing 12-4 first half run that gave the Broncos (2-0) a 42-29 halftime lead after four lead changes and a tie. Matt Hobbs scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half.
Christian Sengfelder scored 14 points and his third 3-pointer put Boise State up by 17 early in the second half. Jessup's fifth 3 made it a 25-point lead and the Broncos began emptying the bench, playing 13 players for the second straight game after their 104-65 win against Eastern Oregon on Friday.
Robin Jorch scored 10 points for the Broncos, who got 42 points off the bench and shot 58 percent from the floor and 44 percent from beyond the arc.
Jamal Aytes scored 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting for Southern Utah (0-2), Jadon Cohee had 19 and James McGee, 10.
